Counselling & Art Therapy
for Your Wellness Needs

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Art Therapist supporting and empowering older teens, young adults and adults to make the changes they are hoping for in their lives. I can help people uncover their strengths, values, passions and self-compassion - all of which contribute to living authentically and courageously.  I have extensive experience supporting individuals with what the Western clinical model of mental health would label as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder.  In addition to these specific diagnoses, I support people with life transitions, family issues, workplace issues, experiences of oppression, peer and romantic relationship struggles, grief and loss, emotional problems and various types of trauma.

I typically support clients who identify as neurodivergent (autism, ADHD), LGBTQIA2S+, and others who are newcomers from all over the world or 2nd generation Canadians.  I understand that we are all unique cultural beings and that cultural identity can influence how we see the world, ourselves and others.  I also view issues through a systemic lens and take inequity, prejudice, racism ,sexism, ableism and discrimination into consideration in order to understand the context that impacts one's wellbeing.

My therapeutic approach with you will be founded on a strong collaborative alliance that will allow you to feel safe and cared for.  I will strive to listen non-judgmentally, explore creative solutions, challenge you, ask the right questions, and offer a fresh alternative perspective. We will decide together the most suitable path for your healing, wellness, and transformation.

If you are open to trying something different to talk therapy that works on a very unconscious and physiological level to bring insight, healing and change, I offer arts- and sensory-based therapies.  I also incorporate an understanding of neuroscience into my practice which informs us how the brain and nervous system work.

I welcome newcomers, international students, indigenous folks, persons of colour, neurodivergent folks and folks from the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment”.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson, poet & philosopher

"A woman's issues of soul cannot be treated by carving her into a more acceptable form as defined by an unconscious culture...No, that is what has already caused millions of women who began as strong and natural powers to become outsiders in their own cultures."
~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés, author & jungian psychoanalyst
